Send and share your files (up to 100 MB) with Senduit, a simple file sharing application.

Crack In The Glass Ceiling

I know the Glass Ceiling and my hope would be within 3 more decades of women in the work force that my nieces/grand nieces will have opportunities for advancement that were not there for me.

Just the facts:

  1. Only eight companies in the Fortune 500 were led by a woman CEO in 2005 and none of those companies were among the Fortune 100.
  2. More than one-half of the Fortune 500 had fewer than three women corporate officers.
  3. Fortune 500 companies with the highest percentages of women corporate officers yielded, on average, a 35.1 percent higher return on equity and 34 percent higher total return to shareholders than those with the lowest percentages of women corporate officers.
  4. Women also are busy on Main Street: Women in the United States are launching small businesses at more than twice the rate of men each year.

Do I Want To Be On The List?

Heroes is a TV program I have been following and yes, I was only watching it because of the title "Heroes". And with that kind of title for a TV show I was expecting Heroes that would save small children from burning buildings, rescue people from runaway trains and/or put the bad guys in deep dark places to rot.

However, what we have here is a show of heroes such as a porn princess locked up for murder,  a recovering heroin addicted painter who only paints the future, a politician who can fly (see where I am going with this) and a flunky cop who can read minds.

It is truly only two shows away from being a remote click and gone.

Double Check That File

If you have a suspicious file that you want to check to make sure it isn't a BAD file, VirusTotal will scrub it by running the file by 29 antivirus programs, all in about 2 minutes and yes, it's free. Of course if that's not fast enough for ya, try Jotti's Malware Scan that uses only 15 antivirus programs. Get that computer squeaky clean!

Windows Vista Business Test Drive

If you didn't get to play around with Windows Vista during the betas, or just didn't want it on your system, now you can test drive some of it online, courtesy of Microsoft. This isn't a full virtual Vista system to play with (though it looks like it is) but it walks you through some of Vista's new features and lets you try them out, one by one. It is a good way to get a feel for Vista's new and improved Backup scheduling, Restore, Windows Defender, Diagnostics, Live Icons, Sidebar, Gadgets, Data synchronization, and Advanced web page printing and more.
