Safely Remove Hardware Shortcut

So I finally got you backing up your data to your flash drive, your portable drive, your big mama USB drive! But wait, you aren't safely removing that hardware once you are done?

Did you know on some of those USB drives you may end up corrupting the data or hosing out the drive itself?

In the system tray is an itty bitty icon that you can click on to Safely Remove Hardware (remove your USB) or your can create a shortcut to do it. ...

Bonus Tip: If you want to change the icon once you have created the shortcut, get the "official" icon by right-clicking on your new shortcut and go to "Properties." In the resulting dialog, go to the "Shortcut" tab and click on the "change icon" button. Browse for the %SystemRoot%\system32\hotplug.dll file (or just copy/ paste that path into the file name) and select one of the icons of your choice.
