XPS Documents

Since I use Office 2007, I couldn't help but notice the ability to save documents in XPS. What is that? After some review, it's Microsoft's answer to the PDF. Just in case you get an XPS document, here's what it is all about. ...

I am glad we can count on Microsoft being on the bleeding edge of tech with an answer to a 15 year old format that is now open source. I think I want Bill back.

nearly 2 years ago (Jan 2007) I spoke on a panel about XPS at the Lyra conference - besides not having an ecosystem for a new document exchange format, even Adobes XML representation of PDF is a non-starter.

while i agree with michael that microsoft isn't well equiped to answer the pdf challenge at this late date and that microsoft was trying to take adobe out of the equation. i have to question the use of the word hades by anyone.
