Bauer is in desperate need of a new smartphone and has been looking at Blackberries and HTC's'. He's so desperate he even looked at a Samsung. (What the ? were you thinking Bauer?)

As I was wiping the fingerprints off the Lenovo S10 the other day, the "E" in Lenovo peeled off, got caught in the cloth and scratched the beautiful blue surface.
Ouch! I've been wiping off laptops for 10+ years and this is a first for me. Thankfully, Lenovo sent me an RMA and I will be replacing it.
Thanks go to Chris Young at Lenovo for being the stand up Lenovo representative that coordinated getting a replacement.

(Unless I missed this on the install, there is yet another toolbar that an application wants to deliver with their package. I thought I unchecked the option to have it NOT install, but I ended up going into Add/Remove programs to uninstall the "pdftoolbar")

A common tactic used by malware is to block the infected computer from connecting to the Web sites of antivirus and security companies. Such blocks are meant to prevent you and your antivirus program from getting help in removing the infection. Read on...
"Conficker Eye Chart" pulls images from three sites that Conficker is known to block and displays them in a box. Below the box is a guide to interpreting how you see the images -- if they all show up you're in good shape, but if one or more doesn't display it could indicate a Conficker (or other malware) infection.

A quick reminder: Microsoft’s free support for XP and Office 2003 is going to end next week, on April 14th.
With the federal government doling out our taxpayers monies to whom ever asks for it, and I'm not too proud to beg, like Microsoft asking for 20 billion and Cisco asking for 1 billion, (that's right folks, BILLIONS), I ask where is my bail out?
Here's an EZ-CASH Form for a piece of the Federal Bail Out Program. Good stuff! Read on...

I have been watching this site since February, waiting ever so patiently until the HTC Touch Pro2 got a release date overseas.
Low and behold, The cost is about $700 US dollars and the phone of my future is ready for pre-order. It has an expected release date of June 5th 2009.
Could this mean that we will have it in America by then? And if it costs that much will I actually get it? Which mobile carrier will pick it up first? Stay tuned for more.

BabyLenovo is here and configured. Took some snaps so you could see how it compares to a regular laptop.
Overall the laptop is responsive, the screen is easy to view, the keyboard isn't too cramped, albeit I now know how often I use the right shift key because its a key or two over. The battery life is good, though I am definitely not use to laptops going to sleep or into hibernation.
The only thing that I sort of don't like is using Windows XP. Yes, you heard me say that. I guess I have moved to the other side because I like the features of Vista and/or Windows 7.
